Thursday Morning Update

Just a quick update so people know what to be praying about. As the sedation started to wear off this morning, dad's heart rate went up, so they continued with more sedation. The doctors want to move really slowly with this whole process, so we need to realize we probably won't be seeing a lot of progress today. We need to remember what his body has been through this week, two heart failures, the spinal cord injury, two serious surgeries, pneumonia (which he still has), fever, and waning oxygen levels. The prayers we posted last night are all very relevant, but we are realizing the a big prayer today is that his mind is still what it was before the accident. Since his heart stopped Saturday night, we have not been able to see him awake or alert, so we really don't know what affect it had on his brain. Our God is big and strong and mighty, so let's pray today that God gives us a sign that the dad we all know and love is still there. Our family will be starting to be at the hospital in shifts, so someone is always there as he slowly awakens. God knows our dad better than we do, and He knows what both he and our family can handle. We trust in that promise. Thanks for praying.

If Pat wanted to get out of Awana so bad, he just could have said something!!!!! With all of our prayers and your love, God can do miracles. I had a car accident this weekend that involved another car. No one was hurt and I know that was God saying it's not your time yet. My sister is battling cancer. She has it in her throat, breast, lymphnods, around her heart, and on her liver, but she isn't giving up. She believes God will heal her and after two chemos she doesn't feel the lump in her neck and her breast isn't as hard. God listens to the prayers of his people. I am praying with you that Pat will recover completely and without any side effects. Your family is very precious to me. I loved having your kids in Sunday school and I know that they are an encouragement to you and to me to see them trust in the Lord. Praise God for all He has done and will continue to do for Pat and your family. In Christian love, Carol Foss

Jean, Pat and family-
Thank you so much for your updates and specific prayer requests. This is a scripture that I claimed long ago as I struggle with my MS, I hope and pray it encourages you also. 2 Cor 4:8 "We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed." I pray that you will be encouraged by all those who care and love you and God will surround you with His strength, shield of protection and trust in Him. We have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. I pray our all- mighty God will hear and answer our prayers for complete healing and full recovery. Love <>< Jen&Jake

Just a little diddy to let you all know that Pat's prayers are being represented in California as well. I thought we had thunder out here the other night, but that could have been Jeannie snoring. Thank you for the updates.

Thoughts and prayers. Ted.

To all of the Bohrman family:

Wow…

I can not image or understand how you all must feel. As I write (type) this message, I know how I feel as my eyes water and my nose runs – but that is God giving me a drink and I feel that I am in his presence. My love goes out to you all!! My heart pounds with anxiety thinking that any given moment may bring (and probably does bring) a different emotion for you all – from “Bapa's got owies” to “HE’S BACK, BABY”. The roller coaster you all must be on…WOW…because the roller coaster of emotions we have felt.

There are many many many people who LOVE YOU ALL – especially God. I only image that each day…each hour…each minute…will bring many challenges, but remember to keep your faith in God, keep your faith in each other. Have patience with each other…oh how the stress levels must be peaking. Hug your kids, hug your spouse, hug your loved ones. Tell them what they mean to you; tell them that you LOVE them. Then share that love with God.

Try to Smile…please, try to smile.

With LOVE,

Eric, Jen, Ella and Jack
