Surgery Postponed

Just talked to mom and the doctors have decided to wait on the surgery. Dad has a slight fever and they want to make sure he is not starting to get sick. Mom seems relieved to be able to let him rest for another day, he is still heavily sedated. Pray that his fever goes down and that his lungs improve. There is no date set as of now to do the surgery, they will just be waiting to see how his fever plays out. By the way, whoever prayed last night that mom would get good sleep did a fabulous job. As I (Amy) took dad's spot in their bed last night and tried to fall asleep, she suddenly turned towards me and starting snoring louder than I ever thought a human could snore. I laughed out loud as I thanked God for that little answered prayer. Who knew such obnoxious snoring could sound so beautiful? So mom got some good rest. Continue to pray for his health today. The nurses said this is all pretty common with his injury, but we really don't want him getting sick, his body just can't handle it. We'll let you know how today goes. Keep dad lifted up in prayer! God is good....ALL THE TIME.

Just a reminder...no visitors please...we promise to let you know when it will be helpful to come to the hospital. Thank you so much for caring for our family! Lots of love.

A family friend, Megan Fraser, has told us about Pat and the family.
We're praying, alot, for Pat and the family here in California.

We'll pass the info on to our care group for additional prayers!

We're sure that God will provide a smooth recovery and that he will continue to comfort and care for your family.

Our sincerest love for you all as we share a common love of God.

God Bless you all!

Hello old neighbors. I am writing this filled with hope and thougths of the enitre Borhman family coming together to comfort and give each other strength. It is in these times that the true sense of family is realised. I know that Pat will prevail. With his unwielding spirit and support of all those that have the pleasure of knowing him and the extended Borhman family, he is not done with all of us by a long shot. He will be back perhaps with some physical ailments but certainly his mind will be as aucte as ever. And I look forward to that witty sense of humor that is so prevalent in the Borhman family. My wishes and prayers are with you all.

Sincerely, Ted.

Hi Amy-

This is Christy Kroeker (Donner) from Crusade in at UW. My mother-in-law, Nancy, sent me this prayer request. We will be praying our socks off for your Dad. We'll keep checking the updates to know how to pray. What a great way to communicate specifics! Your mom is blessed to have such a wonderful daughter as you to uphold her at this time. We will pray for continued strength for you as well.

In Christ,
Christy

Dear Family Members,
I was driving home last night. These words from the Bible were coming very strongly in my thinking. "Arise and walk." "I will give you life."
May you feel God's comfort. I am praying on a daily basis. Felt led to share this with you.

Our thoughts and continued prayers are with Pat and the family. I was shocked to hear of the accident. I had just seen him the night before at AWANA with a smile on his face.

To the family, stay healthy and strong for him. Continue to find your comfort in the Lord. May God's hand continue to protect him and heal him. I PRAISE GOD for all he has done thus far!!

Amy...thank you so much for keeping the blog updated. You write beautifully. We have passed the website on to many people who are faithfully praying (many that have never even met you). I know, God knows the needs of your family, but it is so cool to be able to pray specifically. Please pass along that we are lifting all of you up in prayer often. We send our love. (Please give your mom a BIG hug!!!!!!!) Mimi & Jeff Ipsen

Amy has passed on to us Kersta's prayer request for Pat and all of you. We so enjoyed meeting the whole family at the wedding and your closeness and love for one another were very visible and precious. We pray for a smooth recovery for Pat and know that God's love is surrounding and holding each of you.
May God bless and comfort you,

I stopped by to see your mom and dad today as I work in the operating room at Froedtert. Your mother's faith was inspirational to me and I felt the very presence of our Comforter and Healer in the room with us as we prayed over your father. It was evident that God is using your mother and the faith of your family to witness to those working in the ICU. May you feel God's presence and comfort in a very real way as your friends and family continue to lift you all up in prayer. Jane Zenner
