A Peaceful Night...Praise the Lord

Mom likes to go in early to the hospital...I think she likes to be with dad as the sun rises. Thankfully the night was uneventful. Mom said his oxygen level was 100% when she walked in the room...an answer to prayers that his lungs seem to be getting stronger. Though things are still critical, he is stable at this time. We need continued prayer that today he remains stable and his lungs continue healing. Also pray for the boys (Mike and P.J.) as they went to Genesis today to help Rudy start the shop running again. They feel it's what dad would want. Pray that it is a healing day for them there. Mike commented yesterday that the hardest part of being at the machine shop is that it just "smells like dad". If you've been to Genesis, you know that smell! Thanks for all the love and prayers....

Jean,
I talked with your mom this morning and will let all the John & Lois Paige family know what is going on. I want to offer my house if you need a place to crash close to the hospital. We're 5 minutes from Froedtert. Call if I can help.

Dear Jeanne and family
Unbelieveable! In an instant, life changes forever! Do not fear (the most frequent phrase in scripture)! God is with you! (the most reassuring phrase in scripture)!
This news brought me back almost 10 years ago when Tag was in Froedert with a brain hemorrhage, and Drs. didn't know if he would live or not..and if he lived, if he would be a veggie or not! Now.. I love veggies, but not this way!
He has healed beautifully! He's getting ready to go skiing, has resumed a little more reasonable work schedule, and we're going to visit Kevin and Amy in N.Y. for Christmas.
Pat will recover too! Prayer, along with great Drs., is the key! Our prayers are with you and we'll be checking the blog to see if there is anything further we can do to help!

Love and hugs...Tag and Mary

Hi Bohrmans--

Keeping you and Mr. Bohrman in my thoughts and prayers.

Peter.

"Morning has broken, like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken, like the first bird
Praise for the singing, praise for the morning
Praise for them springing fresh from the world
Sweet the rains new fall, sunlit from heaven
Like the first dewfall, on the first grass
Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden
Sprung in completeness where his feet pass

Mine is the sunlight, mine is the morning
Born of the one light, eden saw play
Praise with elation, praise every morning
Gods recreation of the new day"

Pat has always been a great neighbor on the West side of Hartland. We have an English Springer Spaniel (Hunter). Hunter always enjoys stopping to say hi to Bailey (sp?).

The Bohrman family, especially Pat and his wife are in our prayers. We would like very much to see Pat as a regular part of our Hartland community. Oh but for the Grace of God and the Love of Christ.

Jeannie,

I hope our afternoon together on Saturday helped pass the time for you during this difficult time. While it was long overdue and much-needed, I'm saddened that it was a tragedy that brought us together this time.

Under the circumstances, I felt that Pat looked great. And you... well, as I said to our mutual friends -- you were in your usual rare form...
"Bohrman" this and "Bohrman" that. Some things just (thankfully) never change. God love you! If he has the intestinal fortitude to live with that for 32 years, I know he's got it to survive many, many more to come. God love him!!!

Truly, your sense of humor is one God-given trait that will help you, Pat, your family and friends to endure whatever lies ahead.

I'm also so thrilled that you and your darling kids have such strong faith. Above all else, that is what will really get you through this!

I'm here for you at any time and continue to pray for a speedy, positive recovery. And please, remind "Martin" that I thought he looked really buff!!!

Love,

D (Derse)

Jeannie and family,

You are all in our prayers. Dave and I couldn't believe when we heard it on the 10pm new on Friday. We both looked at each other and said, "That can't be our Pat Borhman!"

We were so cheered, though, to hear of your positive spirits and the great peace that you have found. Believe me, we have spent our share of time in hospitals this past year and the ONLY way through it is total trust in God. It is so comforting to give yourself entirely to His loving arms. Everything just seems to come together perfectly. Stay strong and stay in His arms. It will all work out.

Love you guys!
